Hello! Welcome to my website! I’m a South Dakotan actor, choreographer and director with a passion for education. Most recently, I performed in MELANCHOLY PLAY (Tilly) with Monstrous Little Theatre Company and directed and choreographed ARISTOCATS KIDS for the Dakota Academy of Performing Arts. I am also obsessed with my beautiful bengal kitten, Lily, and love to travel by motorcycle with my husband, Bobby.
In October 2015, over some post grad beers and musings, my friends and I began the venture that is Monstrous Little Theatre Company. As Executive Director, the board and I share the goal of creating more challenging and contemporary theatre using unconventional spaces in Sioux Falls. We have thus produced Sarah Ruhl’s LATE: A COWBOY SONG in the back of a bar, Nick Payne's CONSTELLATIONS at an artist retreat, Sarah Treem's THE HOW AND THE WHY in a book store, Jean-Paul Sarte's NO EXIT in an art Gallery, Daisy Foote's BHUTAN in a grocery store, and Lee Blessing’s DOWN THE ROAD in a shipping container... in a garage. Needless to say, we take the idea of "make art where you are" pretty literally.
I graduated from the University of Sioux Falls in South Dakota with degrees in Communication Studies and Theatre and English. Through my studies, I have been granted opportunities to travel to and learn from seventeen different countries and all throughout the States. This includes a semester abroad in Greece and a summer at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in NYC. The core belief of the Stella Adler Studio is, "Growth as an actor and growth as a human being are synonymous." I take this lesson to heart with every role I play.
When I’m not working on new projects with MLTC, I also perform short form improv with Improv Falls, coach actors of all ages in audition preparation and help birthday girls learn the power of good manner words and a proper curtsy while portraying princesses with Simply Ever After Entertainment.
